Avianca appoints Rolando Damas as director of sales for North, Central America and the Caribbean

Avianca has a new leader for the Central American region. This is Rolando Damas, who is currently the director of the airline for North America, Asia and the Caribbean , and who also took the baton of the company’s commercial strategy in Central American countries.
“North and Central America are linked by business, tourism, and family. During 2021 alone, we mobilized more than half a million passengers between Central America and the United States (USA), from where we operate to 10 of the main cities of the American nation. This reaffirms the importance of these markets for the airline and the need to unify the commercial management of two closely linked regions”, said Rolando Damas , director of Avianca for Central America, North America and the Caribbean.
He is also certified by Yale University in Organizational Leadership.
“Hand in hand with our business partners and travel agencies, we want more Central Americans to explore the world through Avianca. We want to continue promoting tourism and also give a stronger boost to the corporate travel sector. We want to make our new vision a reality: to be an airline where everyone can fly”, said Damas.
Currently, the airline operates 8 routes between the countries of Central America, and another 31 routes from the countries of the region to the US, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador.
