The Danish beer-producing corporation Carlsberg Group has announced its withdrawal from Russia. The company plans to fully sell its assets located in Russia. This is stated in a press release published on Monday, March 28.
“We have made the difficult and urgent decision to achieve the full sale of our business in Russia, which we believe is the right thing to do in the current circumstances. Upon completion, we will not be present in Russia,” TASS quoted Carlsberg Group as saying .
It is reported that the company’s business in Russia Carlsberg Group will consider as an asset held for sale.
“We deeply regret the consequences of this decision for our 8,400 employees in Russia. Until the completion of the process, we will maintain the recently announced reduced level of operations to support the livelihoods of these employees and their families. Any profits generated during the humanitarian crisis will be donated to relief organizations,” the company said in a statement.
