Medvedev said that the threat of nuclear war always exists

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the threat of nuclear war always exists.
– No one wants any war, especially a nuclear war is a threat to the existence of human civilization in general. In this sense, those analysts are right who say, perhaps somewhat cynically, but nevertheless, that the creation of nuclear weapons prevented a huge number of conflicts in the 20th and 21st centuries, he said in an interview with RIA Novosti .
Recall that the authorities of the United States of America have created a special group to plan actions in the event of a Russian nuclear strike. This was reported by the New York Times, citing sources. The document on the creation of the group was signed by Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan. The organization was named “Tiger”. Members of the group must plan responses to a possible Russian attack on NATO countries. In addition, the “Tiger” must determine the line, after crossing which the alliance must enter into a conflict in Ukraine. A nuclear strike by Russia is also being considered, but US authorities believe that such a scenario is unlikely.
