Why is my Facebook suddenly turning white?
Another user reported the same issue to MacRumours. He wrote: “Have you noticed that Dark Mode disappeared from Facebook iOS in the last few hours?” I tried all the standard troubleshooting steps, including deleting the app, turning off Dark Mode, and then reinstalling it.
After following these steps, the user stated that the feature still wasn’t working.
Facebook has yet to release an official statement explaining why the feature disappeared. Users are free to speculate as to why the dark mode of the social media app isn’t working. However, most users agree that the iOS update caused the feature to be disabled.
Follow these steps to enable dark mode
Many iPhone users reported that dark mode was not available. However, some Android users were able to access it. Although some iOS userss claimed that dark mode was disabled after updating the Facebook app to their device, there are still ways for users to activate the feature.
You can access dark mode again if you have the latest version of the app.
Market realist says that if your iOS software is not updated, it will likely prevent your phone from using certain in-app features. You can switch on dark mode through your settings if you are concerned that you won’t be able access it even after the latest iOS update.
If none of the above steps work, you can try looking through your Facebook app’s settings. There are many categories that contain features.
These steps will help you find dark mode within your settings:
- If you’re on iOS mobile, select the horizontal lines in Facebook (located at lower right)
- Scroll down to select “Settings & Privacy”.
- Choose the “Settings” option.
- Scroll down until the “Dark Mode” feature is located near a crescent Moon.
- Select the “Dark Mode” option
- Next, click “On” or “System” to adjust the appearance of your phone based on your settings.
You can find the Display and Accessibility option in your Settings if you have lost your dark mode. You can choose the desktop look you prefer, and turn on dark mode.
