Roskomnadzor demanded that Wikipedia remove false information about the special operation in Ukraine

Roskomnadzor sent a second notice to Wikipedia about the need to remove false information on the subject of a military special operation in Ukraine, RIA Novosti was told in the department. Wikipedia already received a similar notification from the department on March 2, 2022.
“Based on the request of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, Roskomnadzor sent a notification to the administration of the specified website about the need to immediately remove inaccurate information on the subject of a military special operation in Ukraine,” the message says. As specified, we are talking about the use of content by the portal aimed at misinforming Russian readers.
Recall that Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on the morning of Thursday, February 24, 2022. President Vladimir Putin said that its goal is “to protect citizens who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that strikes would only be carried out on military infrastructure facilities, there were no threats to civilians.
