Russian Railways announced the termination of the shipment of goods in the direction of Finland

Russian Railways (RZD) from Saturday, March 26, stopped sending goods in the direction of Finland. The company made such a statement on Monday, March 28, pointing to the sanctions measures that were previously taken by the Finnish railway company VR Group.
“In connection with the sanctions, the Finnish railway company VR Group notified Russian Railways that it was impossible to receive freight trains, and since March 26, sending goods to Finland has been stopped,” the company said in a statement.
It is noted that in the current circumstances, customers are offered alternative options for the export of goods from Finland.
Recall, as the kp.ru website wrote earlier, on the eve of the Finnish railway company VR Transpoint, which is a subsidiary of the state railway operator VR for cargo transportation, said that the acceptance of trains from Russia to Finland would be suspended from Sunday.
