The head of the German Ministry of Economy recognized the right decision to abandon the ban on Russian gas supplies

Rejection of the ban on Russian gas supplies was the right decision, says German Economy Minister and Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck .
“This is not a game, but a very serious scenario with possible deep splits in business and society. That is why, in my opinion, it was right not to initiate an abrupt cut in supplies,” Habek said in an interview with the Rheinische Post .
As the head of the German Ministry of Economy noted, the country has already begun to gradually reduce imports of Russian energy resources. The rate of refusal of energy carriers from Russia is higher than previously planned, he said. According to Khabek, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statements on the gas issue are contradictory.
Recall that earlier the Minister of Economics of Germany said that the refusal to supply gas from Russia could lead to a complete shutdown of heating in Germany .
