According to Western sources, about 6,000 Russian soldiers were killed at the same time.

Ukraine’s military says a senior Russian military official has been killed. The officer, identified as Major General Andrei Kolesnikov, was the commander of the 29th Army in Russia’s Eastern Military Division.
