Ukraine will not be involved in the war Belarus: Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that Belarussian authorities have no plans to invade Ukraine. He also called for a “cold response” to the “fake news” spread. He said this in a meeting with the media on Friday. Belarus news agency quoted Belta as saying.
“I have said a thousand times that we have no plans to engage in war in Ukraine,” he said. But that is what is at the center of the discussion. Hereditary, Belarusians do not accept war. That is why this policy is followed. We have to respond in an elegant way. Even in Soviet times, one had to be prudent not only to talk about propaganda, but also to talk about counter-propaganda. We have to respond calmly and no excuses can be made.
Russia launched an attack on Ukraine on February 24. Russian troops also entered Ukraine from neighboring Belarus. That same day, Alexander Lukashenko said that if necessary, Belarusian troops would also take part in the Russian operation in Ukraine. But if there is a need, if there is a need for Belarus and Russia, then they will also take part.
The West, including the United States, has imposed sanctions on Russia as well as Belarus, a close ally of the Kremlin, over the attack on Ukraine. Amid rumors of Belarus’s direct involvement in the war, Lukashenko, who has held power with the help of Russian President Vladimir Putin, called reporters to clear his position.
