US sends 12,000 troops to Russian border: Biden

US President Joe Biden says 12,000 US troops have been sent to Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Romania, which border Russia. He made the remarks in a speech to the House Democratic Caucus on Friday. At the same time, he says Russian President Vladimir Putin will not win the war in Ukraine.
Biden said the people of Ukraine were showing “significant courage and bravery” in the event of a Russian military strike. Security assistance from the United States was crucial to the country’s defense.
“While we are cooperating with Ukraine, at the same time we will continue to stand united with our allies in Europe,” he said. We are sending an unequivocal message that we will protect every inch of NATO territory.
“This is why I have deployed 12,000 US troops in countries bordering Russia, such as Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Romania,” he said. Admittedly, if we do not retaliate against the Russian invasion, it will be World War III. But we have a sacred responsibility to protect NATO territory. Although in Ukraine we do not want to start World War III.
Russia launches military operation in Ukraine on February 24. Three days before the attack, Putin recognized Ukraine’s two separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk as independent states.
